Friedemann Dürrbeck, CrossFit L2 Trainer

Friedemann Dürrbeck, CrossFit

"Try a bit of EVERYTHING" - this is probably the best way to describe my childhood and youth in terms of sport. From table tennis to the local gun club, I've tried pretty much every club in my hometown. This great interest in sports has sometimes made my parents desperate, especially when I was standing in front of the door with a new membership application. Both the active participation in sporting activities and the interest in a variety of sports were an important part of my life from an early age.
The local football and swimming club were the first stations in my club career, but should not have been the last. From the popular sport football I finally ended up in the combat sport handball where I spent actively in various clubs until 2018. To this day I am also enthusiastic about mountain biking (only downhill!), climbing, snowboarding and much more :D
Especially in the pre-season I have extended the team sport by functional and athletic training. CrossFit has been part of my training for some time now, even though I haven't been able to call it like that and the sport as such was still unknown.
Several hours in gyms and the monotony that came with it had led me to search for a new challenge in 2018. And after I moved back to the most beautiful city in Franconia after a short exile, I quickly came across CrossFit Bamberg and promptly signed up for the "Intro". When I entered the box for the first time, I was impressed by the many impressions and people, as well as a bit overwhelmed. But curiosity and enthusiasm followed quite fast. By Bine's and Tobi's pleasant and cordial welcome, which was accompanied by a "Hey! We know each other ", the last doubts were then also rejected and I felt immediately accepted.
To this day, Bine and Tobi, as well as the entire team of trainer, pass on their expertise and enthusiasm for CrossFit to the box community and motivate me again and again to push my limits or rather to redefine them.
The diversity of CrossFit and especially the great community of the box collective inspire me to this day. Working as a coach has become an important part of my life and I am always looking forward to passing on some of my enthusiasm and motivation.

Enthusiasm does not always speak for those who awaken it and always for those who feel it.
